Are Firmware Updates Necessary or Mandatory?

No, but without the updates, you'll miss out!

We continuously spend a lot of time developing Windows Software, the Android app, the iOS app, and developing firmware to keep our units at the top of the game. All these updates are released completely free of charge.

Each new version introduces several new features but are also continuous improvements on all the previous features, instructions and graphics (based on our new ideas but also based on requests and suggestions from end users) and overall end-user experience.

Note: New software and firmware often add new parameters. It is for this reason that in order to use the new firmware it is necessary to use also the new software (both software and firmware must know how many and which are the parameters that are exchanged).

That said, it is important to note that no support or assistance is provided on older firmware and software. Many issues are resolved by newer versions of the firmware and software so we will always request that you upgrade prior to receiving support. It is also important to note that even returns are expected to be at the latest firmware, if possible.
